Gandalf, who will now be known as Faridaat Genesis aka Zip is going to live with Lynn Knapp in Wilbur, WA. We are so thrilled that Zip has found his home. Welcome to the family Lynn! Zip will be heading to his new home on Sept. 10 and another big thank you goes out to Megan and Mike for caring for Zip during the past couple weeks and helping to get him to his new home!
fly safely little firefly

It’s always an emotional day when a pup leaves the nest and today was no exception. Tirzah (Faridaat Firefly) left today for her home in San Diego with Mary Brown. We know Mary will adore her just as we have. Tirzah was a special pup right from the start – the smallest and fiestiest of the bunch – she had to work hard to get to the milk bar and keep all her siblings in line! She stayed the longest with us in order to miminize confinement time once she arrived in California, but she also made the biggest dent in our hearts because she fit in so well while she was here. Despite that we are sad to see her go, we know she will be loved and doted on in her new home! Congratulations Mary and family!
welcome to bc-washington
Well it was quite the weekend. I loaded Freckles and her belongings in the van and made the trek to Washington to drop her off at her new home and to pick up three of the G litter pups. I had a lovely, but short visit with Mike and Megan who will co-own Freckles with me. It was really hard to leave the next day. We will miss her dearly, but I know she’s in good hands!
On the other end, Mike and Megan had made the trip all the way to Driggs, ID to assist in transporting the boys from Karnak Salukis for me. In the end, I decided to bring only two of the boys home; Dooley and Rahz since they both have homes here. Gandalf stayed in the hopes that we can find him a home in the US.
A hearty thank you goes out to Megan and Mike for going to such lengths to bring the boys up to me and for taking on Freckles!
