Foundation: Our hounds are primarily derived from old English lines that flourished in Canada in the 70s, combined with a hint of Dutch, and we have recently begun incorporating Country of Origin (COO) bloodlines, which we feel increases genetic diversity and, along with responsible breeder stewardship, will help keep this fantastic breed from the downward genetic spiral that a lot of other recognized breeds are experiencing. The Saluki breed is extremely fortunate to have a valuable ancestral resource offering traits and lineage that have existed since the earliest appearance of the breed. We intend to take advantage of that!
