The moment I saw Truffle I knew I had to have her. Obviously her beautiful chocolate colour was a big draw, but moreover her pedigree is chalk full of accomplished coursing hounds and show dogs from overseas and North America! Her pedigree ties into some of the older Dutch Samoems lineage that is already prevalent in my current western line and also ties into the lineage behind my part desert bred litter through Chubasco Vindaloo. Consequently, Truffle should nick nicely with my breeding program in the future! Watch for her in the ring and on the field!
Truffle’s DNA will be sent to the University of Saskatchewan to participate in their coat colour dna profiling. It is not overly common to find solid black/brown in our breed so we hope her dna will be helpful to the researchers.
Accomplishments
Truffle’s only accomplishment thus far, aside from being solid chocolate, will be travelling across the ocean in April 2010 from Germany to Canada!
