Eden, is 1/2 Turkish-Kurdish desert descent and her other half is made up of such influential lines as Sedeki, Jen Araby, and Srinagar. Several of her desert ancestors were imported directly from Turkey and Kurdistan where the terrain is rocky and steep creating hounds that are built for quick bursts of speed, agility and endurance during the hunt. Quoting from an email from her breeder Mary Beth Rogers, “This longer body is like a spring coil, the extra length of rib and loin giving them tremendous power and reach with each stride.”

Eden has many wonderful qualities we’d like to incorporate into our breeding program. Aside from being part desert bred, she has wonderfully strong, well-sized feet, a beefy, well-muscled physique and an endearing personality. We like to joke and call her our dachsaluki because of her long and low format; Eden holds the dubious title of Faridaat’s shortest and longest Saluki!

Eden has undergone a critique by the SPDBS committee and has received her AKC Registration. We have yet to process her CKC registration. Eden produced our ’09 Superhero litter. We have no further plans to breed Eden.

Because Eden is not CKC registered she cannot participate in CKC sanctioned events at this time.
